The Municipality of Río Grande is advancing its strategy to position itself as a leader in the knowledge economy by signing an agreement with the INDETEC group, an academy specializing in technological training. This agreement seeks to promote educational robotics, expand opportunities for young people and entrepreneurs, and strengthen technological development in the city.
The signing of the agreement includes the National Robotics League (LNR), an event that brings together 43 teams from across the country. For Río Grande, hosting this competition is not only a source of pride, but also an opportunity to join a national network that promotes technological innovation and digital inclusion.
The Secretary of Citizen Management, Gonzalo Ferro, highlighted the importance of this initiative, noting that "our city is positioned as a strategic hub in the national knowledge economy. Today, the city of Río Grande has established itself as a benchmark for technological development and digital inclusion in the Patagonian region and throughout the country."
Furthermore, with the signing of the agreement, INDETEC donated 50 educational robotics kits for children to the Municipality. This will expand the capacity of technology training spaces in different parts of the city for educational and recreational activities and the development of summer technology camps. The goal is also to professionalize e-sports, providing young people with training and skills that will position them at the local, regional, and national levels.
Por su parte, la Liga Nacional de Robótica, organizada por INDETEC, promueve la robótica educativa mediante competencias en las que estudiantes de todas las edades pueden aplicar sus conocimientos y habilidades. INDETEC complementa esta labor con cursos y talleres destinados a preparar a niños y jóvenes para participar en estos eventos, contribuyendo al desarrollo integral de sus capacidades tecnológicas.
Ferro subrayó que el convenio representa una oportunidad para seguir fortaleciendo las políticas públicas en torno a la inclusión tecnológica y la formación en oficios digitales. “Esta alianza nos permite seguir generando un camino de oportunidades que impacten de manera positiva en nuestras infancias y centralmente en el horizonte de futuro para las juventudes riograndenses”, afirmó.
Por parte de INDETEC, su Gerente, Pablo Cardoso, manifestó que "Río Grande es referenciada como una ciudad nodo del conocimiento, reconocida por su constante búsqueda de alianzas estratégicas en áreas clave de innovación. En este caso, enfocándose en ramas como la robótica y nuevas tecnologías. Este posicionamiento reafirma su compromiso con el progreso tecnológico y su visión de ser un referente en innovación y desarrollo sostenible”.
Con esta iniciativa, Río Grande refuerza su compromiso con la educación, la innovación y el desarrollo económico, lo que marcará un precedente en el crecimiento tecnológico de la ciudad.
