Smart carbon capture for sustainable cities
In a world increasingly affected by climate change, the INDETEC Group presents CO₂ Urban, a disruptive project that aims to mitigate urban and industrial carbon dioxide emissions through sustainable and accessible technological solutions.
The Problem
Urban and industrial areas concentrate the largest concentrations of CO₂ emissions. Faced with the high costs of implementing traditional carbon capture plants, a more efficient, decentralized, and adaptable alternative is urgently needed.
The Solution
We develop CO₂ capture devices based on low-energy technologies and plant-based materials such as amine-treated loofah, capable of absorbing CO₂ safely and effectively. These devices can be installed in parks, industrial areas, and public spaces and can operate in a network, connected to the cloud to provide real-time metrics.
Highlighted innovations:
Self-sustaining system that uses fans and the Venturi effect to accelerate air and powers its own operation using batteries.
Our own plant filters, made from chemically treated natural materials such as loofah and organic waste (fungi, distilleries), improve the capture capacity.
CO₂ reused in the cultivation of oilseed algae, the basis for biofuel production and exploration of aerospace fuels.
Smart urban infrastructure: public lighting, cell phone charging, and information panels integrated into the system.
Business model with impact
We don't sell technology. We make our capturers available to governments, NGOs, cities, and institutions committed to pollution control. In return, we offer consulting and technical support, and we use the captured CO₂ for biofuel development and the sale of carbon credits.
Next Steps:
▶ Completion of the prototype and scaling of the system.
▶ Mass production of the plant filter.
▶ Measuring CO₂ capture over time.
▶ Start of cultivation and extraction of algae oil.
▶ Open dissemination of results and collaboration with strategic allies.
CO₂ Urban is more than a device: it's a commitment to the future, a global, connected, sustainable capture network designed for the cities of tomorrow.
